Gorgeous, gorgeous fic.
As with so many of my favourite fics, one of the main things I adored in this was the the team/family spirit of Torchwood throughout it, and how it strengthened and changed them throughout. Owen was fabulous; snarky, grumpy but even when ill still on the ball about backing Ianto up when needed and doing what was needed for the team. The scene of Gwen and Ianto with the comb and the talk of Ianto's family was also lovely - really enjoyed seeing how it altered slightly with the reset year.
Needless to say I'm utterly smitten with your Ianto. But then again I'm kind of smitten with all of them now. Big damn heroes the lot of them :)
I have to say the timeline of this was spot-on. I liked that whilst the majority of the fic was about if TW could survive Saxon, there was still enough of the repercussions after the reset to bring home just what had happened without losing the main trek's impact. If anything, it added to it. It hadn't really sunk in until Jack vocalised it, but whilst Ianto may have failed in the short term in saving the team, in the long run it was down to him that they survived at all.
Unfortunately I do think your interpretation of Jack's return has now spoilt me for when the series actually returns as there wasn't thing about it I didn't love - and I wish the writers had the time to give it that much detail on the show. Just as you convinced me how strong and also how haunted all the team had been by the year, you also convinced me the same about Jack and how it really might have been for him if he had been stuck up there and seen his team die without him.
Anyway, thank you for a wonderful read - bravo!
